Actor: Jude Law
It seems as though Jude Law fits book Dr. Watson more than Martin Freeman (John Watson in BBC’s Sherlock) for the book Watson was very admiring towards Sherlock. And though Martin did show Watson’s admiration towards Sherlock, the Watson that he played in the show didn’t seem very forgiving or agreeable (in my opinion [dis Hacelle]), as what book Watson basically is towards Sherlock.
But Jude Law on the other hand, though Martin Freeman certainly is a fabulous actor, showed Watson as he truly was in the books (Freeman showed a different Watson that seemed more emotionally troubled). Jude Law, having played John Watson in the Sherlock Holmes movie series along with Robert Downey Jr. as Sherlock Holmes, has portrayed the Watson that gets annoyed enough at time with Sherlock, but is his most trusted companion in the end.
